I purchased the car in 1973 for $1,200; it was originally a Dodge color "F8", or dark forest green color. I restored the car in 2021-2022, and changed the color to Dodge color "R6", or red.

I dreamt about owning this muscle car sitting in a classroom at LaSalle HS my senior year, and watching 2 of my classmates, who both had recently purchased 1969 Dodge, 340 GTS's of their own, get on it as they left the parking lot onto North Bend Road in Monfort Heights.

My car was a daily driver from 1973 thru approximately 1979, when I needed a more sedate, business appropriate sedan; the car then sat in Mom's garage in Mt. Healthy for a "dark period" from 1979 into 1996, when I resurrected it from the debris of her garage, to be stored in my newly purchased home in Fairfield. Occasional startups and cruise-ins were the car's limited use. The car underwent a total makeover, (new quarters, fenders, gas tank, a ton of welding other rust spots, redone upholstery to factory specs, and a new paint job) in 2021-2022. The Cragar SS chrome mags were the final touch. The vinyl top, remarkably, is the original one. The car runs very well, and kicking in the secondary's is always a thrill for this 73 year old MOPAR enthusiast!
