This nova was bought new at king Chevrolet by my great grandpa and passed down to my grandma and then in 2004 to my older brother who drove it for 8 years before having to sell it in 2013. I wanted to purchase it then but I was buying my first house and could not afford it fast forward to 2018 when my brother passed away unexpectedly it was a terrible loss for my family, since then I was searching for it but life and raising my daughter took precedence, in 2024 I got more serious about finding it but without the vin it was not easy I was pursuing other novas to duplicate what our family had when my dad found a registration from 2005 with the vin on it and with a few bmv searches we were able to conclude the person who purchased it from my brother in 2013 still owned it, that was the easy part they don’t tell you who actually has it so it took some detective work. I remember where I used to see it after it was sold in a neighborhood in west Chester so I took to google street view images and was showing my wife pictures of houses where we thought it was and oddly enough a picture from 2014 or so actually popped up and the car was in the driveway I was ecstatic, through there I tracked the owner of the house down and a few Facebook messages later I found him and he agreed to sell me the car which was sitting in a basement garage in gulf manor, I went to view it for the first time in 12 years and it was an emotional day for me it brought back so many memories I was able to get it fired up with a jump box and some gas in the carb. Fast forward to January of this year when I had time to work on it I pulled the factory 250 6 cylinder and power glide transmission and swapped it for a LS that I built a few years ago and a th400, it’s still a work in progress but it’s a big part of my family that will never leave!
