Car Story or Interesting Facts

I’m the second owner of this Chevy c-10 survivor found with only 37,000 miles on it in 2013. The truck is a long bed and only 27,000 long beds were made in 1986 according to internet research. The truck now has 50,000 miles. When I originally bought the truck, I thought the speedometer was rolled over so I drove it as a daily driver until I found out otherwise since then I’ve stopped driving the truck as much.

A church family friend purchased the truck new in 1986 for $8600 dollars before retiring. One thing Carl did to the truck was sand any surface rust and paint it with a darker color blue that stopped the rust but cosmetically did not look the greatest. The truck was garage kept it’s entire life so there was no rust on the body except for an 1/8 inch hole in the cab corner so I replaced them prior to having the truck painted in 2014. I have kept the truck original however, I did remove the damaged step bumper that had a 1/2 inch plate welded on to it for strength to take hay to Ag-land twice a year. It is a farm truck and still has the farm bureau sticker in the window in remembrance of Carl Cunningham the original owner. I purchased the truck for $2500, the family gave me $500 of asking price because we were church family friends.
