I bought my Mustang Mach 1 in the spring of 2002 in Jacksonville, Florida. That owner had started a restoration but given up. The car was partially disassembled and some body repair work done. The body had been sanded all over but far from a complete sanding job. The car was shipped to Fairfield and sat in my garage for nearly 11 years before the restoration work started. The car then underwent a 2 1/2 year restoration that was completed in spring of 2014. 1969 was the first model year to wear the Mach 1 name. This factory R code car was built on October 10th, 1968 with the 428 Cobra Jet engine and Ram Air Shaker hood scoop. The original 4 speed manual transmission is still in the car. Factory correct color paint as well as interior has been used. A fold-down rear seat is also included.
